Years ago, I saw the tail end of an enormous black cat leaping away from me through the trees. I have no idea what it was, a panther, maybe? There have been many sightings of such creatures. Some people believe they are the 'alter-egos' of domestic cats. Whatever they are, they are difficult to pin down as they are able to merge into the background in a moment. The deer in this picture know something strange is near, but they cannot see it......
